He had a brother Roger Whitney, and sisters Margaret (Whitney) Hughes and Maryen (Whitney) Parks. His will also mentions John the son of Roger Whitney (a nephew), Thomas the son of Richard Whitney, and Lewis Whitney, also probably relatives. He died after 23 Jan 1566, the date of his will.[1]
He married Dorothy (-----) Tompkins, who had a son John Tompkins by her first marriage. She died after 23 Jan 1566, when she was mentioned in his will.

i. Hugh Whitney. ii. Richard Whitney. iii. Thomas Whitney. iv. Joan Whitney, m. ----- Mathewe. v. Elizabeth Whitney, m. ----- Parks. vi. Margery Whitney, unmarried in 1566.
