John6 Whitney (James5, James4, John3, Jonathan2, John1), son of James5 and Patience (Leland) Whitney, was born 10 Mar 1742, Framingham, MA, [1] and died 17 Feb 1825, Sherborn, MA, aged 82 years.[2]
He married, 5 Feb 1767, Sherborn, MA, Hannah Holbrook,[3] daughter of Nathaniel and Sarah (Sanger) Holbrook. She was born 3 Jun 1741, and died 4 Jun 1826, Sherborn, MA, aged 84 years.[4]
He was a farmer. He resided Sherborn and Wrentham, MA.
