John6 Whitney (Abijah5, Daniel4, Henry3, John2, Henry1), son of Abijah5 and Elizabeth (Ellsworth) Whitney, was born 20 Jan 1780, Warwick, NY, and died 6 Apr 1849, Brooklyn, NY.
He married, 20 Oct 1804, Chester, NY, Susanna Smith. She died 29 Dec 1847, Florida, NY.
Phoenix says the following:
- . . . settled at Florida, in Warwick, . . . . He went, in Nov. 1848, to dwell with his daughters, in Brooklyn, N. Y., and there died, 6 Ap. 1849. They were buried in Cypress Hill Cemetery. He served in the war of 1812.
