John7 Whitney (Andrew6, Abraham5, John4, Joseph3, John2, John1), son of Andrew6 and Lucy (Miles) Whitney, was born 31 Dec 1792, Princeton, MA,[1] and died 15 May 1846, Princeton, MA, aged 53 years 4 months 15 days.[2]

Marriage intentions were published 23 Aug 1822, Princeton, MA, for him "Capt." "of Princeton" and Mary Newton "of Royalston.[3] He "of Princeton" married firstly, 17 Sep 1822, Royalston, MA, Mary Newton,[4] daughter of Nathan Brigham and Mary (Stewart) Newton. She was born 15 Jul 1800, Royalston, MA, and died 6 Oct 1831, Royalston, MA, aged 31 years.[5] Probably she died in childbirth, 8 days after her sixth child was born.

He "Col." married secondly, 4 Oct 1832, Princeton, MA, Eliza Ann French Watson,[6] daughter of Jacob Wheeler and Lydia (Whittaker) Watson. She was born 22 Apr 1814, Princeton, MA, and died 2 Jan 1891, Worcester, MA, aged 76 years 8 months 10 days, of general debility and paralysis.[7]
