John⁷ Whitney (John⁶, John⁵, Joshua⁴, Joshua³, Benjamin², John¹) son of John and Polly (Gibbs) Whitney, was born Nov 1829, NY or PA, and died 24 Mar 1912, Browns Valley, MN, aged 82 years.^[1]

He married, about 1860, Olive T. Woodard, daughter of William and Olive (Tanner) Woodard. She was born May 1830, NY, and died 11 Nov 1918, Browns Valley, MN.^[2]
