John⁷ Whitney (Joshua⁶, Caleb⁵, Jonathan⁴, Richard³, Richard², John¹), son of Joshua⁶ and Vashti (Knight) Whitney, was born 21 Apr 1796, Gardner, MA.^[1]

He married, 6 Jul 1817, Gardner, MA, Rachel Holbrook Osgood.^[2]
