John Godfrey6 Whitney (Nathan5, Benjamin4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Nathan5 and Sarah (Godfrey) Whitney, was born 3 Mar 1798, Lisbon, ME, and died 2 Jul 1883, Readfield, ME.

He married, 20 Oct 1823, or 15 Oct 1824, Readfield, ME, or 26 Oct 1824, Hallowell, ME, Mary Allen.[1] She was born 24 Jul 1804, Readfield, ME, and died after 1880, KS.

He was a farmer and by trade a carpenter and joiner. He resided Readfield, ME.
