John H.8 Whitney (Caleb7, Jonathan6, Caleb5, Jonathan4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Caleb7 and Abigail R. (Sargent) Whitney, was born about 30 Mar 1838, Sterling, MA, and died 7 Mar 1900, Fitchburg, MA, aged 62 years 11 months 7 days, of valvular disease of heart and chronic bronchitis.[1]
He married, 25 Feb 1869, Orange and Fitchburg, MA, Jennie N. Derby, daughter of Josiah and Betsey (-----) Derby.[2] She was born about 1849, Ashburnham, MA, and died after 1900.
