Joseph7 Whitney (Abijah6, Benjamin5, Joseph4, Joseph3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Abijah6 and Lydia (Tarbell) Whitney, was born 25 Jun 1827, Pepperell, MA, and died 14 Nov 1892, Wells River, VT.

He married, 20 Nov 1856, Pepperell, MA, Mary P. Baker "of Tunbridge, Vt.", daughter of Stephen Baker.[1] She was born 6 Mar 1826, Tunbridge, VT,[2] and died after 1900.

He was born on the old Whitney farm in Pepperell, NA, which was deeded by Joseph Whitney, of Chelmsford, to his son Joseph, of Pepperell, 1740. He was a well-to-do and respected farmer, and died very suddenly [portion missing] disease. He resided Pepperell, MA, and Wells River, VT.
