Joseph Davis7 Whitney (Benjamin6, Abraham5, Benjamin4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Benjamin6 and Bethiah (Woodward) Whitney, was born 9 Mar 1817, Lisbon, ME,[1] and died 24 Mar 1885, Port Huron, MI.

Marriage intentions were published 12 Dec 1843, Lisbon, ME, for him and his first wife Loranda Harwood Whitney,[2] daughter of Joseph Whitney (probably Joseph6 and [?Ann?] (Whitmore) Whitney). She died 21 Sep 1848, Lisbon, ME.[3]

He "Mr." married secondly, 14 Mar 1850, Lisbon, ME, "Miss" Ann Sarah Whitney, "both of Lisbon",[4] daughter of Joseph Whitney (probably Joseph6 and [?Ann?] (Whitmore) Whitney), sister of first wife. She died 8 Apr 1852.

He married thirdly, 21 Jan 1858, Margaret Masterson, his adopted daughter. She was born about 1835, and died after 1880.

In 1854 he went west, and resided for a time at Ruby, MI; later he moved to Port Huron, and was proprietor of the Huron House. He resided Port Huron, MI.
