He married circa 1840, Warren Co., NY, Edna Achsah Knapp, daughter of Obediah and Julianna (Burge) Knapp. She was born 25 Oct 1819, Chester, NY, and died 5 Feb 1902, Schroon, NY.
There is a degree of uncertainty surrounding the children Lansford and Edna listed below. George is not listed in the family in the 1860 census and cannot be distinguished from other unknown Georges in census records after 1870. Phebe’s last name is listed as Wallace in the 1860 census, niece in 1865, and servant in 1875, and coupled with Edna’s age at the time of her birth might suggest she is adopted. Since Edna is listed in 1900 as having given birth to zero children, they must have all been adopted.
