He married, before 1870, Lucinda Lila Thornton. She was born Mar 1853, Montreal, QC, Canada, and died after 1898.

He served as a Private, 152nd Depot Brigade, U.S. Army, in World War I; enlisted 4 Sep 1918, Augusta, ME, and discharged 16 Dec 1918. He is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Augusta, ME.
