Leonard⁷ Whitney (Ezekiel⁶, Ezekiel⁵, John⁴, Benjamin³, John², John¹), son of Ezekiel⁶ and Ruth (Gilbert) Whitney, was born about 3 Mar 1791 (calculated from age at death), was baptized 2 Jun 1793, Watertown, MA, and died 14 Oct 1878, Watertown, MA, aged 87 years 7 months 11 days, of old age, papermaker.^[1]

Intentions of marriage were published 17 Aug 1817, Watertown, MA, for him and Ruth Larrabee.^[2] He married 31 Aug 1817, Watertown, MA, Ruth Richardson Larrabee,^[3] daughter of Jonathan and Margaret (Wellington) Larrabee. She was born about 5 Jun 1797 (calculated from age at death), Charlestown, MA, and died 25 Mar 1867, Watertown, MA, aged 69 years 9 months 20 days, Watertown, MA, of disease of heart.^[4]

Leonard, Jr., Thomas F., Solomon W., and Hiram are also found in Watertown in 1855.
