He married, 6 Aug 1857, Emeline Nutting, of Pepperell, MA, daughter of Timothy and Fanny (Farnsworth) Nutting. She was born Sep 1828, Pepperell, MA, and died 9 Feb 1872, Pepperell, MA.
He resided Tunbridge, VT.
Children of Lewis7 and Emeline (Nutting) Whitney:
i. Frank Scott8 Whitney, b. 19 Nov 1859; resided Pepperell, MA. The 1900 census lists him as having been married for 14 years, but he is living alone with a servant.
