Lois5 Whitney (Josiah4, David3, Joshua2, John1), daughter of Josiah4 and Lois (Breck) Whitney,[1] was born 9 Mar 1768, Pomfret, CT,[2] died 29 Oct 1856, Watertown, NY.

She married, 4 Nov 1787, Brooklyn, CT, Erastus Baker,[3] son of Samuel and Lydia (Smith) Baker. He was born 9 Dec 1764, Windham, CT, and died unknown.

Pierce says the following:[4]

LOIS [WHITNEY], b. Mar. 9, 1768; m. ----- BAKER. She d. at Watertown, N. Y., Oct. 29, 1856. She had a son Josiah B., whose son, Rev. Geo. B. was pastor of a Pres. ch. at Detroit, Mich., in 1874.

Children of Erastus and Lois5 (Whitney) Baker, possibly incomplete:

i. David Baker, b. 16 Aug 1788, Brooklyn, CT; m. 9 May 1819, Rebecca Gotham.
ii. George Baker, b. 15 Jul 1790, Brooklyn, CT; m. 11 Sep 1810, Kingston, Lennox and Addington County, Ontario, Esther Ann L. Curtis.
iii. Sophia Maria Baker, b. 23 Jan 1792, Brooklyn, CT; no further record.
iv. Betsey P. Baker, b. 30 Dec 1794, Watertown, NY; m. 15 Feb 1815, Johnson Hawley
v. Josiah Baker, b. say 1797, Watertown, NY; had son Rev. George Baker, was pastor of a Presbyterian church at Detroit, MI, in 1874.
