Lorenzo Chamberlin7 Whitney (John6, Joshua5, Eleazer4, Eleazer3, Thomas2, John1), son of John6 and Lucy (Chamberlin) Whitney, was born 5 Apr 1818, Sandisfield, MA,[1] and died 25 Jan 1891, Sandisfield, MA, aged 77 years, of cystitis.[2]
He married, 28 Sep 1841, Sandisfield, MA, Celestia Adeline Fosdick,[3] daughter of George and Rachel (Parrot) Fosdick. She was born about 19 Dec 1817, Sandisfield, MA, and died 7 Nov 1890, Sandisfield, MA, aged 71 years 10 months 18 days, of heart disease.[4]
He was a farmer. He resided Sandisfield, Massachusetts.

A merchant. Children: a. Robert Milton Abbey, b. 21 Feb 1877. b. Hattie Belle Abbey, b. 24 May 1878; d. 13 May 1890.
iii. Emeline Isabell Whitney, b. 5 May 1850, Sandisfield, MA;[8] m. 3 Jun 1866, Sandisfield, MA, Lewis Gladding;[9] b. 25 Nov 1846, Burlington, VT, son of Hubbard and Maria (-----) Gladding. He is a carpenter. Children: a. Wallace L. Gladding, b. 13 Feb 1869; m. 20 Sep 1893, Winsted, CT, ----- -----. b. Clayton H. Gladding, b. 29 Feb 1876.
