Luiz Whitney, parentage unknown, was born say 1860, possibly Spain.

He married, before 1884, Louise Smith. She was born say 1860.

Children of Luiz and Louise (Smith) Whitney:

i.	Becida K. Whitney, b. ca. 1884, Spain; m.(1) ----- Alves; m.(2) 20 Jan 1909, New Bedford, MA, John Fernandes, b. ca. 1884, Portugal, son of Louis and Rose {Silva Costa) Fernandes.[1]

Notes

He could be the same as John L. Whitney (c1827-1885), q.v. That man did have a wife Louise Smith, and both were alive in 1884, although any connection to Spain is unknown.
