Luke8 Whitney (Luke7, William6, William5, William4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Luke7 and Cynthia (Partridge) Whitney, was born 14 Feb 1810, Gardner, MA,[1] and died 27 Jun 1886, Gardner, MA [Pierce says Albany, VT], aged 76 years 5 months 13 days, of Bright's disease.[2]

He married firstly, Sarah A. Pierce. She was born 1810, and died before 1843.

He married secondly, say 1842, Mary D. Pierce. She was born about 15 Mar 1813, and died 22 Mar 1846, Gardner, MA, aged 33 years 7 days, of inflammatory fever.[3]

He "of Gardner" married thirdly, 20 Aug 1846, Winchendon, MA, Amanda Wood "of Gardner",[4] daughter of Benjamin and Sally (Penniman)(Hill) Wood. She was born 6 Oct 1827, Gardner, MA, and died 1 Aug 1887, Templeton, MA, aged 59 years 9 months 24 days, of softening of the brain, housekeeper.[5]

He resided Albany, VT.
