Lydia Whitney (Nathaniel), daughter of Nathaniel and Joanna (Hayward) Whitney, was born 30 Jul 1783, Acworth, NH, and died after 1860, Lyme, NY.

She married 30 Jul 1802, Brownville, Jefferson, NY, John Paddock, son of Peter and Amy (Young) Paddock. He was born 10 Oct 1780, Schaghticoke, NY, and died 24 May 1854, Lyme, NY.

This family appears to have had 5 boys and 5 girls. Three children are unknown. Hannah Paddock is linked to this family through her sons, Joseph Russell "Russ" Caryl and Simeon Nathaniel Caryl.

iv. Peter H. Paddock, b. 19 Sep 1811, Jefferson Co., NY; d. 12 Feb 1894, Theresa, NY; m. ca. 1835, Jefferson Co., NY, Susan Thompson.
v. Royal W. Paddock, b. 1814, Jefferson Co., NY; d. 8 Apr 1831, Jefferson Co., NY; unmarried.
vi. Henry H. Paddock, b. 1819, Jefferson Co., NY; d. 6 Jun 1877, North Gouverneur, NY; m. ca. 1853, Cath "Catherine" -----.
vii. Eliza Paddock, b. 1822, Jefferson Co., NY; d. after 1860.
