Marcus¹⁰ Whitney (Ivers⁹, Merrick⁸, Samuel⁷, Silas⁶, Samuel⁵, William⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of Ivers⁹ and Lucy⁹ (Whitney) Whitney, was born 13 Sep 1846, Gardner, MA,^[1] and died after 1900.

He married, 8 May 1878, Gardner or Templeton, MA, Luella Brooks, daughter of Harvey and Lois (Burgess) Brooks.^[2] She was born 13 Dec 1849, Ashburnham, MA, and died after 1900.

He was born in Gardner, MA, 13 Sep 1846, where he lived until December, 1867, and then lived in East Templeton, MA, about thirteen years, or until 1880, since that time he has resided in Gardner. Has been engaged in the chair business as employe most of the time; resided Gardner, MA.
