Mary5 Whitney (Eliasaph4, Nathan3, John2, Henry1), daughter of Eliasaph4 and Mary (Bishop) Whitney, was born 21 Feb 1744/5, Stamford, CT;[1] bapt. 31 Mar 1745, Darien, CT;[2] m. ----- Jarvis.

She allegedly married ----- Jarvis, but see Notes below.

Notes

Phoenix says that Mary Whitney married ----- Jarvis, and "is said to have had, in 1808, two sons, Samuel Jarvis and Noah Jarvis, who were then living in New York." This is problematic. Noah Jarvis of New York was a son of Hezekiah and Mary (Nash) Jarvis, his first wife, and Samuel Jarvis of New York was son of Hezekiah and Sarah (Whitney)(Nash) Jarvis, his second wife. Thus one of these men was the son and one the step-son of Sarah, not Mary. If this is correct, then Mary's subsequent history after her birth is unknown.
