Matthias5 Whitney (Matthias4, Cornelius3, Joshua2, John1), son of Matthias4 and Alice (Robbins) Whitney,[1] was born 22 Feb 1746/7, Killingly, Connecticut,[2] and died perhaps after 1790.[3]

On 23 Nov 1770 Matthias Whitney, Jr., bought land in Killingly from Preston Colburn.[4] He may be the one enumerated in the 1790 Census of Killingly, Windham County, CT, with one male 16+, three males 0-15, and four females, possibly himself, a wife, and six children.[5]
