Melvin B.8 Whitney (Ebenezer7, Ebenezer6, Samuel5, Samuel4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Ebenezer7 and Louisa (Gowell) Whitney, was born 6 Apr 1833, Bowdoinham, ME,[1] and died 9 Oct 1886, West Gardiner, ME, aged 63.[2]
He married firstly, 9 Nov 1873, Boston, MA, Mary Wheeler,[3] daughter of William and Margaret (Hunnewell) Wheeler. She was born about 1845, Boston, MA, and died before 1880.
He married secondly, 9 Feb 1881, West Gardiner, ME, "Mrs." Rozilla A. (-----) Stewart.[4] She was born May 1840, ME, and died after 1900.
