Myrtle Frances Whitney (James, Jacob M.), daughter of James and Emily Amelia (Haynes) Whitney, was born Apr 1870, New Rochelle, IL, and died after 1910, and probably before 1920.

She married 6 Dec 1894, Christian Hansen. He was born Apr 1858, Denmark, and died after 1910, and probably before 1920.

She graduated from a Quaker seminary. She later moved to Kansas.

He was a Quaker minister. Family word of mouth says Christian was a distant relative of Queen Christina of Denmark. In 1902 they moved to Chandler, OK. They bought a quarter section of land from Eugene Dye. They cleared land for crops. Their children attended school at the Old Columbia schoolhouse near Chandler, OK. The schoolhouse also served as the local social gathering place.
