Nathan5 Whitney (Thomas4, Eleazar3, Thomas2, John1), son of Thomas4 and Hannah (Smith) Whitney,[1] was born 23 Jul 1726, Watertown, MA,[2] baptized 3 Mar 1728, Watertown, MA,[3], and died after 1773.[4]

He "of Spencer-District" married, 20 Feb 1754, Grafton, MA, Abigail Marstass "of Grafton."[5] She was born say 1733.

ii. Nathan Whitney, b. circa 1756; m. Eunice [?Wakefield?].
iii. Eleazer Whitney, b. circa 1758; m. Martha Crozer.
iv. Jonathan Whitney, b. 16 Jul 1761, Spencer, MA;[7] m.(1) Mary Woodard; m.(2) Lucy Woodard.
v. David Whitney, b. 2 Oct 1762, Brookfield, MA; b. 2 Oct 1763, Brookfield, MA;[8] d. 17 Sep 1838, Bolton, MA.
vi. Esther Whitney, b. 26 Jan 1766, Brookfield, MA.[9]
vii. Abigail Whitney, b. 3 Apr 1768, Brookfield, MA;[10] m. 8 Jan 1786, Brookfield, VT, Elijah Wakefield.[11]
viii. Hannah Whitney, b. 28 Apr 1771, Brookfield, MA.[12] She probably d. after 1850, then unmarried, per census record below.
ix. Asa Whitney, b. 30 Mar 1773, Brookfield, MA;[13] d. 13 Nov 1781, Halifax, VT.

This is probably his daughter Hannah, unmarried, together with his great-granddaughter Josephine, daughter of grandson Jonathan, and granddaughter of son Eleazer.
