She married 21 Dec 1904, Sherman Co., OR, Herbert Thomas Shute, son of E. and Ruth (-----) Shute. He was born 8 Aug 1883, Burr Oak, Jewell Co., KS, and died 25 Apr 1979, Colville, Stevens Co., WA.
Herbert was a farmer and a logger.
After Nellie died, Herbert married Della and fathered another son, Darrell T. Shute of Kettle Falls, OR, and two daughters, Mildred and Shirley. He moved to Colville, OR, in 1966. He was a charter member of the Kettle River Grange.
