Norman Kibbe6 Whitney (Thomas5, Richard5, Richard4, Henry3, John2, Henry1), son of Thomas5 and Temperance Kennedy (Davis) Whitney, was born 9 Mar 1819, Westmoreland, NY, and died after 1905.
He married, 1847, Chautauqua, NY, Anna Cecilia Ferris, daughter of Oliver and Laura (Ashby) Ferris, of Chautauqua, formerly of Dutchess Co., NY. She was buried in Dutchess Co., NY, and died after 1880.
Phoenix says the following:
- ". . . a grocer . . . . They settled in Chautauqua; and, about 1865, moved to the village of Mayville, in the same town, where they were living in Apr 1874."
