He married, 1847, Chautauqua, NY, Anna Cecilia Ferris, daughter of Oliver and Laura (Ashby) Ferris, of Chautauqua, formerly of Dutchess Co., NY. She was buried in Dutchess Co., NY, and died after 1880.
Phoenix says the following:
- ". . . a grocer . . . . They settled in Chautauqua; and, about 1865, moved to the village of Mayville, in the same town, where they were living in Apr 1874."
