Orange9 Whitney (John8, Joseph Glazier7, Abner6, Samuel5, William4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of John8 and Eliza (Cushing) Whitney, was born 16 Mar 1849, Westminster, MA.

He married firstly, 5 Jan 1875, Amherst, MA, Laura M. Collester, daughter of Thorley and Abigail Marie8 (Whitney) Collester,[1] and granddaughter of Joseph7 and Nancy (Sawin) Whitney. They were seventh cousins. She was born 17 Dec 1849,[2] and died 28 Jan 1885, Winchendon, MA, aged 35 years 1 month 11 days, buried at Gardner, MA.[3]
