Family:Whitney, Orrin Ryland (1844-a1922)

Orrin⁸ Ryland Whitney (Lemuel⁷, Abraham⁶, Richard⁵, Israel⁴, Ebenezer³, Richard², John¹), son of Lemuel⁷ and Julia E. (Kinsman or Kinaman) Whitney, was born 10 Aug 1844, Elmira, NY, and died after 1922.^[1]

He married circa 1868, probably NY, Eunice P. -----, parentage unknown. She was born Oct 1852, Yates Co., NY, and died before 1920, probably Bergen Co., NJ.

The fact that sons Charles and Frank are not living with Orrin and Eunice in the 1875 census and could not be located elsewhere is unexplained and could be an issue.

i.	Charles H.9 Whitney, b. Oct 1871, MN; d. after 1930; m. ca. 1894, Etta L. -----, children, if any, unknown. She was probably a widow, since in 1900 she reported having had 4 children, of whom all were living, but none were living with them.
ii.	Frank Graves Whitney, b. 26 Sep 1874, NY; m. Gertrude C. Sheppard.
iii.	Ella May Whitney, b. Jun 1883, NY; d. aft. 1892.
