Reuben Fairbanks8 Whitney (Elias7, Jacob6, Richard5, Richard4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Elias7 and Fannie (Demary) Whitney; born Winchendon, Massachusetts, 3 Feb 1823; married at Gilsum, New Hampshire, 10 Nov 1845, Jane L. Tubbs, born 13 Mar 1825. He died 28 Jan 1864; resided Upton, Massachusetts, Stoddard and Marlow, New Hampshire.

Children of Reuben Fairbanks8 and Jane L. (Tubbs) Whitney:

i. Christopher F.9 Whitney, born 7 Jul 1856; married Nellie L. Todd.
ii. Ellen Maria Whitney, born 11 May 1847; married at Keene, New Hampshire, 20 Nov 1867, Benjamin W. Eames, shoe cutter by trade; resided 15 Tirrell St., Worcester, Massachusetts. He was born 18 Nov 1838.
Ch.: Nellie M., born 7 Sep 1871; died 1 Jan 1877; Gertrude L., born 19 Dec 1872; Florence A., born 10 Feb 1874.
iii. Josephine Arabella Whitney, born 9 Mar 1849; died 28 Sep 1849.
iv. George Clement Whitney, born 12 Aug 1850; married Ada Maria Wheeler.
v. Anna Jane Whitney, born 9 Dec 1852; married Elwin J. Marsh; resided Keene, New Hampshire.
vi. Mary Frances Whitney, born 6 Aug 1854; married George W. Fisher; resided 147 School St., Keene, New Hampshire.
vii. Milton Henry Whitney, born 30 Nov 1857; died 1 Aug 1859.
viii. Edward Arthur Whitney, born 31 Aug 1860, Marlow, NH; married 23 Nov 1881, Georganna Nichols, born 17 Nov 1858, s. p.; resided South Attleborough, Massachusetts. He is the proprietor of the Sunny Point greenhouses and is an extensive dealer in cut flowers.
