Roswell Orrace⁸ Whitney (Calvin⁷, Daniel⁶, James⁵, [prob.] James⁴, Eleazer³, Thomas², John¹), son of Calvin⁷and Roxana (Wheelock) Whitney, was born 29 Aug 1838, Plymouth, VT, and died after 1880.

He married Aug 1859, New Bedford, MA, Phoebe Reynolds, daughter of Alden and Jane (-----) Reynolds. She was born 1839, MA, and died 1878.

He is a mason by trade, but of late years has been in the real estate business; resided Providence, RI.
