Rufus5 Whitney ([prob.] Joshua4, Cornelius3, Joshua2, John1), probably son of Joshua4 and [?Joanna?] (-----) Whitney, was born say 1751, and died Dec 1800, Granville, NY.

He married, before 1794, Sarah Graves, daughter of William and Mary (-----) Graves, and granddaughter of Lebbeus and Amity5 (Whitney) Graves. She was born 27 Aug 1771, and died 30 Jul 1825, Granville, NY.

He resided Granville, NY.

iii. William Graves Whitney, b. 16 Sep 1800, Granville, NY; m. Lydia Marchant.
