Samuel6 Whitney (Aaron5, Elnathan4, Eleazar3, Thomas2, John1), son of Aaron5 and Margaret (Cornet) Whitney, was born 23 May 1764, Uxbridge, MA, and died 1825, Jamaica, VT.

He "of Jamaica" married firstly, 10 Jan 1793, Putney, VT, Eunice Wellman,[1] parentage unknown.

He married secondly, about 1805, Martha Parmenter, daughter of Reuben and Martha (Mossman) Parmenter. She was born 25 July 1772, Princeton, MA.

He resided Jamaica, VT.

Pierce incorrectly lists Samuel as the son of Silas Whitney. However, this man's son Samuel was still residing in Clarendon, VT in 1800.
