Samuel L. Whitney (David), son of David and [?Anne?] (-----) Whitney, was born about 1 Sep 1800, Shaftsbury, VT, and died 12 Nov 1887, David City, NE, aged 87 years 2 months 11 days. He was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Butler Co., NE.[1]
He married, before 1826, Catherine Olin, daughter of James and Esther (Reynolds) Olin. She was born 16 Aug 1794, Shaftsbury, VT, or Aug 1797, VT, and died 12 Jul 1878, David City, NE, aged 80 years 11 months. She was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Butler Co., NE.[2]
