Dr. Samuel William⁸ Whitney (Samuel F.⁷, Aaron⁶, Aaron⁵, Jonas⁴, Moses³, Richard², John¹), son of Samuel F.⁷ and Sarah Tarbell (Gardner) Whitney, was born 23 Feb 1859, Harvard, MA.^[1]

He married, 19 Apr 1882, Boston, MA, Alice H. Hames or Alice C. Noyes, daughter of Baron S. and Angleina (-----) Noyes.^[2] She was born 17 Jan 1859, Claremont, NH.

He was born in Harvard, Worcester County, MA, where he attended the public schools, and completed his education at the Dean academy at Franklin, MA, and at Lawrence academy, Groton, MA. He was graduated at the Boston Dental college in 1882 and immediately moved to Albany, NY, and began the practice of his profession. He has since resided there and built up a large and lucrative business; resided Albany, NY, 343 State St.
