Sarah5 Whitney (Jonathan4, Jonathan3, Benjamin2, John1), daughter of Jonathan4 and Lydia (Jones) Whitney, was born 14 Mar 1735/6, Mendon, MA,[1] and died 9 Nov 1829, Milford, MA, in her 88th year.[2]

She "of Mendon" married, 10 Nov 1756, Mendon, MA,[3] or 20 Nov 1756, Milford, MA, Wales Cheney, both "of Mendon",[4] son of William and Joanna (Thayer) Cheney. He was born 31 Aug 1732, Mendon, MA, and died 26 or 27 Mar 1825, Milford, MA, aged 93 years. He was also known as Wales Cheeney.

Pierce says the following:[5]

Oct. 1, 1758; m. Elizabeth HUDSON; David, b. -----; res. Orange; Nathan, b. May 4, 1765; res. Orange; Lydia, b. May 4, 1767; m. John CORBETT; Asa, b. Dec. 20, 1769; m. Roxanna PITMAN; Amos, b. Sept. 26, 1771; Anna, b. Apr. 21, 1773; m. Otis BUTTERWORTH; Alexander, b. Oct. 8, 1780; m. Lovice BOWKER and Mrs. Elizabeth W. STONE.
