Sarah⁵ Whitney (John⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), daughter of John⁴ and Margaret (Coffin) Whitney, was born 22 Apr 1747, Sherborn, MA.^[1]

She married, 27 Feb 1766, Nantucket, MA ,James Coffin, son of Nathaniel and Mary (Sheffield) Coffin.^[2] He was born circa 1743 at perhaps Nantucket, MA.

Children of James and Sarah⁵ (Whitney) Coffin:

i.	John Whitney Coffin, b. circa 1770, Nantucket, MA.
