Silas⁷ Whitney (Cornelius⁶, Cornelius⁵, Matthias⁴, Cornelius³, Joshua², John¹), son of Cornelius⁶ and Rhoda (Gould) Whitney; born Vermont 10 Oct 1809; married in Sandy Creek, New York, 8 Mar 1838, Matilda Cross; born Sept. 2, 1814; resided Coleridge, Nebraska. He was a farmer. He died 5 Apr 1891; resided Centerville, New York, and Iowa.
