Family:Whitney, Silas Jefferson (1843-1903)
Silas Jefferson8 Whitney (Silas7, Daniel Hobbs6, Joshua5, Joshua4, Joshua3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Silas7 and Anna (Handy) Whitney, was born 25 May 1843, Wrentham, MA,[1] and died 17 Sep 1903, Attleborough, MA, aged 59 years 3 months 24 days, of chronic cystitis.[2]
He married, 8 Jul 1865, Attleborough, MA, Barbara Harriet Stewartson,[3] daughter of John and Ann (-----) Stewartson. She was born about 1842, RI, or Blackstone, MA, and died 26 Dec 1893, Attleborough, MA, aged 50 years 7 months 2 days, of heart disease;[4] although her husband gave his marital status as "married" not "widowed" in the 1900 census.
