Simon7 Whitney (Simon6, Timothy5, Jonas4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Simon6 and Lucy (Hammond) Whitney, was born 25 Nov 1795, Petersham, MA,[1] and died 24 Jan 1846, Hingham, MA [or Scituate, MA], aged 49 years 1 month 29 days, of smallpox.[2]

He married, 7 Aug 1822, Duxbury, MA, Sarah Holmes,[3] daughter of John and Polly (Holmes) Holmes. She was born 28 Aug 1805, Duxbury, MA, and died 14 Jan 1869, North Bridgewater, MA, aged 63 years 4 months 16 days, of dropsy of the bowels.[4] She married secondly, 30 Mar 1851, Provincetown, MA, Henry Dyer, as his second wife,[5] son of David and Martha (Knowles) Dyer, born 14 Nov 1794, Truro, MA, and died 20 Dec 1884, Provincetown, MA.

He resided Duxbury and Scituate, MA.
