Thomas Whitney, parentage unknown, died about 1598.

He resided Barthomley, Cheshire, England.

His will was dated 10 Oct 1597 and proved 27 Apr 1598 at Chester, by his widow, and son-in-law Richard Boughey. In his will he mentioned an uncle Thomas Whitney.

He married Elizabeth -----.

Children of Thomas and Elizabeth (-----) Whitney:

i. Richard Whitney, d. aft. 1597.
ii. Thomas Whitney, d. aft. 1597.
iii. James Whitney, d. aft. 1597. He is perhaps the "James Whitney, of Barthomley, having found within that libertie an ancient gould coyne, (the value whereof was not knowne,) it was ordered to be delivered to the Lorde of the Manor for his owne use."[1]
iv. Elizabeth Whitney, d. aft. 1597.
v. Cicely Whitney, d. aft. 1597.
