Family:Whitney, Tryphena (1753-1817)

Tryphena⁵ Whitney (Jonathan⁴, Josiah³, Jonathan², John¹), daughter of Jonathan⁴ and Rebecca (Dunton) Whitney, was born 9 Mar 1753, Wrentham, MA,^[1] and died 9 Dec 1817, Wrentham, MA, in her 65th year.^[2]

Tryphena married, 1 Nov 1770, Wrentham, MA, Abel Witherell,^[3] son of William and Mary (Pain) Witherell. He was born 3 Apr 1747, Norton, MA, and died 11 May 1822, Wrentham, MA, aged 75 years, "Revolutionary pensioner."

Children of Abel and Tryphena⁵ (Whitney) Witherell, all born Wrentham, MA:

i.	Rebekah Witherell, b. 14 Feb 1773; m. Amariah Robinson circa 1794, Wrentham, MA.
ii.	Trypheney Witherell, b. 20 Oct 1781; d. 13 May 1803, Wrentham, MA, in her 22nd year.
iii.	Polly Witherell, b. 17 Jun 1784; m. 24 Aug 1801, Wrentham, MA, John Gary.
iv.	Jonathan Whitney Witherell, b. 3 Jun 1787; m. 25 Oct 1812, Wrentham, MA, Sally Colman.
v.	George Witherell, b. 18 Apr 1790.
