Wade H. Whitney (Aaron, Joseph), son of Aaron and Rachel (Poindexter) Whitney, was born ca. 1827, or 15 Oct 1812, MO, and died 29 Nov 1903, Salem, NE. He was buried in Maple Cemeterry, Salem, NE.^[1]

He married 25 Sep 1853, Holt Co., MO, Melissa Combs^[2], daughter of John and Susan (Jones) Combs^[3] and step-daughter of Wade's brother Thomas Whitney. She was born 1834, KY, and died after 1860.

He married secondly, 24 Mar 1863, Richardson Co., NE, Nancy Mariah Boyd,^[4] daughter of William Asbury and Anna (Mullins) Boyd. She was born 15 Dec 1845, Rushville, IL, and died 2 Jun 1917. She was buried in Maple Cemeterry, Salem, NE.^[5]

Perhaps Wade H. Whitney is the son or close relative of Thomas Whitney of Holt County, MO. He may also be a close relative of Tolbert and Joseph Whitney of TN and MO, as there are family members named Wade.
