Dr. Waldo Franklin⁹ Whitney (Amos⁸, Ohio⁷, Silas⁶, Samuel⁵, William⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of Amos⁸ and Harriett J. (Bemis) Whitney, was born 22 Apr 1844, Ashburnham, MA, and died after 1891.

He married firstly, 1 or 2 Jan 1870, Walpole, NH, Abbie E. Hale,^[1] daughter of Moses and Sarah G. (Griswold) Hale. She was born about 1850, Walpole, NH, and died after 1880.'

He married secondly, 19 Oct 1891, Chelsea, MA [also recorded Newton, MA], Caroline Sayward Knowles, daughter of John and Louisa M. (-----) Knowles.^[2] She was born Dec 1870, Gloucester, MA.

He was a dentist; resided Newton, MA.
