William7 Whitney (Silas6, Samuel5, William4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Silas6 and Sarah (Withington) Whitney, was born 5 Aug 1785, Ashburnham, MA, and died 28 Jul 1852, Ashburnham, MA, aged 67 years, of breach.[1]

He married firstly, 22 May 1808, Ashburnham, MA, Lucy Brooks.[2] She was born about 1785. Westminster, MA, and died 4 or 30 Dec 1829, Ashburnham, MA, aged 44 years.[3]

Intentions of marriage were published 30 Apr 1830, Ashburnham, MA, for him and Mary Bemis "of Royalston".[4] Marriage intentions were published 18 May 1830, Royalston, MA, for him "of Ashburnham" and "Mrs." Mercy Bemis.[5] He married secondly, 7 May 1830, Mrs. Mercy (Burgess) Bemis, daughter of Ebenezer and Anna (Fairbank) Burgess. She was born 9 Apr 1791, Harvard, MA, and died 30 Nov 1890, Fitchburg, MA, aged 99 years 7 months 21 days, of old age.[6] She had married firstly, 9 May 1813, Royalston, MA, Jonas Bemis.

He resided Ashburnham, MA.
