William7 Whitney (Luther6, Israel5, Elijah4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), son of Luther6 and Melinda (Wetherbee) Whitney, was born say 1817, Harvard, MA, and died after 1865, but before 1872.

He "of Harvard, Mass." married, 1 Jan 1840, Rocky Hill, CT, Jane A. Flint "of Rocky Hill",[1] daughter of John and Mary (Ackley) Flint.[2] She was born say 1819, and died 12 Oct 1872, Kingston, NY, aged 51 years. She was buried in Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY.[3]

He resided Harvard, MA, but removed about 1861 to Kingston, NY.
