Family:Whitney, William James (1849-a1920)

William James⁸ Whitney (James Davis⁷, Henry⁶, John⁵, Abraham⁴, Joseph³, John², Henry¹), son of James Davis⁷ and Hannah (Pugh) Whitney, was born 13 Dec 1849, Bloomfield, OH, and died 1924. He was buried in Mount Washington Cemetery, Independence, MO.^[1]

He married, 22 or 23 Aug 1872, Macarthy, OH, Margaret Winifred Clingerman, daughter of Gideon and Mary (Royer) Clingerman. She was born Jun 1856, Union Twp., OH, and died 1922. She was buried in Mount Washington Cemetery, Independence, MO.^[2]

He was a farmer. They settled in "Macarthy" [McArthur], and were living there in 1873.
