William Porter8 Whitney (Oliver7, Joshua6, Caleb5, Jonathan4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Oliver7 and Rebecca (Nichols) Whitney, was born 12 Feb 1825, Rochester, VT, and died 14 Feb 1901, Rochester, VT, aged 76 years 2 days, of apoplexy.

He married firstly, before 1849, Roxanna/Rosanna Maria -----. They were either divorced or separated before 1852.

He married secondly, 22 Sep 1852, Rochester, VT, Roxa Arvilla Kinsman, daughter of Dura and Mary (Town) Kinsman. She was born 6 Feb 1836, Rochester, VT, and died 1 Mar 1901, Rochester, VT.

He resided Rochester, VT.
