William Victor9 Whitney (Pliny B.8, John7, John6, Nathan5, Thomas4, Eleazer3, Thomas2, John1), son of Pliny B.8 and Phebe Ann (Mayhew) Whitney, was born 26 Mar 1842, Lafayette, NY, and died 16 Oct 1909, Corvallis, OR.

He married firstly, before 1869, Mariva J. Burnham, daughter of Edwin James and Jane (Hebbard) Burnham (Burnham/Bunham/Burninham). She was born about 1845, NY, and died after 1870.

He married secondly, 7 Sep 1873, Fayette Co., IA, Zelia Caroline Danley, daughter of Albert Danley and Caroline (Brundage) Danley. was born 14 Nov 1850 and died 4 Mar 1889.

He married thirdly, Jun 1893, Benton, MO, Gertrude Amadon, daughter of George LeRoy and Althea A. (Boardman) Amadon/Amidon. She was born 20 Apr 1858 and died 2 Dec 1948.
