William W.7 Whitney (Enoch6, David5, Thomas4, Thomas3, Thomas2, John1), son of Enoch6 and Hannah (Davis) Whitney, was born 27 Feb 1785, Harvard, MA,[1] and died 21 Dec 1866, Windham, NH.

Marriage intentions were published 26 Oct 1804, Concord, MA, for him "of Harvard" and Betsey Farnsworth "of Concord".[2] He married, 5 Dec 1804, Harvard, MA, Betsey Farnsworth, of Concord,[3] daughter of Edmund and Jane (Conn) Farnsworth, and granddaughter of Ebenezer and Mary (Nichols) Farnsworth. She was born 20 Mar 1784, and died 30 Apr 1847, Lowell, MA, aged 62 years 1 month, of typhoid fever.[4]

Apparently there was a divorce, because he, of Andover, MA, married secondly, 24 Nov 1825, Nottingham West, NH, Sarah Smith, of Nottingham West.[5]

Marriage intentions were published 31 Oct 1838, Andover, MA, for him and his third wife, Susanna Pace.[6] He married thirdly, 6 Aug 1839, Dracut, MA, Susanna "Perce" "of Andover".[7] She was born about 1809, MA, and died after 1860. Probably she was the Susan Jennings Pace, daughter of David and Nancy, who was born 8 Jun 1809, Andover, MA.

He resided Harvard, MA.

Whitney, b. 27 Apr 1847, Windham, NH;[16] d. 31 Dec 1910, Groton, MA, aged 86 years 8 months 4 days, of cancer of stomach;[17] m. 4 Feb 1868, Derry, NH, George Gilmore.[18] They were divorced before 1880, since he was married to Abbie Butterfield in that census. She apparently married secondly one ----- Merrel, from whom she was also divorced, per her death record, but who he might be is unknown.
